CO₂ Laser Resurfacing in Chino, CA

Deep resurfacing for wrinkles, scars, and years of sun damage.

CO₂ laser resurfacing is a trusted standard for skin that shows the effects of time and sun. At Radiant Face Aesthetics in Chino, we use fractional CO₂ to improve wrinkles, acne scarring, sun damage, and rough texture, with a plan built around your skin and your recovery time. It is our deepest resurfacing option, and clients from across the Inland Empire choose it when they want the most visible change.

What Is Fractional CO₂ Laser Resurfacing?

CO₂ lasers use a 10,600 nm wavelength to remove thin layers of damaged skin and gently heat the tissue below. Fractional CO₂ delivers that energy in thousands of tiny columns and leaves the skin between them untouched.

Those untouched areas help your skin heal faster. Meanwhile, the treated columns trigger new collagen and fresh, smoother skin from below.

What CO₂ Laser Resurfacing Treats

  • Deep wrinkles and fine lines, including around the eyes and mouth
  • Acne scars and pitted texture
  • Sun spots, age spots, and uneven pigment
  • Rough, uneven skin texture
  • Enlarged pores
  • Mild skin laxity and crepey skin
  • Surgical and injury scars

Benefits of CO₂ Laser Resurfacing

  • Visible change from one treatment

Many clients see meaningful improvement after a single session.

  • Results that keep improving

Collagen continues to rebuild for months after your skin heals.

  • Precise depth control

Settings are adjusted area by area, so delicate skin and deeper concerns are treated differently.

  • Addresses several concerns at once

Lines, scarring, pigment, and texture can all improve in the same treatment.

What to Expect From CO₂ Laser Resurfacing

  1. Before Your Treatment

We start with a consultation to review your skin, health history, and goals. Depending on your skin, we may recommend preparing it with specific skincare in the weeks before treatment. If you have a history of cold sores, let us know so we can plan for it. A topical numbing cream is applied before your session.

  2. During Your Treatment

The laser passes over each area in a precise pattern. You'll feel heat and a prickling sensation. Session length depends on the size of the area being treated.

  3. After Your Treatment

Your skin will be red, swollen, and tender at first, then begin to peel as fresh skin comes through. Most clients plan for about a week of social downtime, and light pinkness can linger for several weeks after. We'll give you detailed aftercare instructions, and daily sun protection is essential while you heal.

  4. Results

Smoother, brighter skin appears as you heal, and results continue to improve over the next several months as collagen rebuilds. Because CO₂ works deeply, many clients need only one treatment to reach their goals.

Is CO₂ Laser Resurfacing Right for You?

CO₂ resurfacing is best for adults who want significant improvement and can plan around a week of recovery. It may not be recommended during pregnancy, with active breakouts or skin infections, or after recent use of certain acne medications. Some skin tones carry a higher risk of pigment changes after deep resurfacing, so we assess your skin type carefully. If CO₂ isn't the right fit, Alma Hybrid or PixelPeel™ may be.

CO₂ Laser Resurfacing FAQs

How long is recovery after CO₂ laser resurfacing?

Most clients plan for about a week of redness, swelling, and peeling. Mild pinkness can last a few weeks longer and is easy to cover with makeup once your skin has healed.

What's the difference between CO₂ and Alma Hybrid?

CO₂ alone is our deepest resurfacing option. Alma Hybrid blends CO₂ with a non-ablative wavelength, so it can be set lighter for less downtime. We'll recommend the best fit at your consultation.

How long do CO₂ results last?

The improvement is long-lasting. Your skin will continue to age naturally, so daily sunscreen and good skincare help protect your results.
